FAQs

1. What Is the Difference Between Makers Models and Directly Calling Vendor APIs?

Makers Models leverages the global edge network to provide dynamic acceleration capabilities and supports mainstream SDKs and compatible APIs. To switch between different vendor models for technical validation, you only need to modify the model parameter.

2. Does Using Makers Models Incur Additional Costs?

The Makers Models feature is completely free. When you invoke a Bring-Your-Own-Key (BYOK) vendor, you only need to be aware of the billing costs for the vendor API Key you have bound on the vendor's platform. This platform does not charge any additional fees.

3. Can the Vendor Model Version Listed in the Documentation No Longer Be Used?

First, try switching to a different model version to confirm whether the Makers Models service is abnormal. If the service is normal, access the official model page to verify whether the vendor has deprecated that model version.

4. How to Handle a 401 Error

First, check whether the model service key carried in the request header has been deleted or has expired. If you immediately invoke a newly created key, a 401 error may occur. You can retry after 1 to 2 minutes.

5. What to Do If an API Key Is Accidentally Leaked

1. (Optional): Based on your business situation, assess whether you need to immediately delete the leaked API Key (model service key).
2. Create a new API Key and test it to ensure it is functioning properly.
3. Replace the leaked API Key.
4. Monitor whether the business monitoring is functioning normally.
